It is difficult to imagine the national cuisine of France without asparagus and artichokes. Undoubtedly, this is a national treasure. And since the beginning of the twentieth century, in the production of tableware in factories in the northern part of France (in Vasmuel and Onnaing), it has become very popular to decorate tableware made of majolica (barbotin) with a pattern of asparagus spears, in our case, a delicate Provence color.
This serving dish is large enough to accommodate not only asparagus or artichokes, but also sauces for which there are special cavities on the sides.

This beautiful table setting, made and painted by hand, will undoubtedly decorate any table.
