Description
I am delighted to offer a pair of French Antique large solid and heavy bronze and brass mix French cherub candlesticks that have been electrified in the past with E17 bulb holders and can now be used as table lamps.
The castings are fine and quite detailed and both cherubs match, obviously over the years they have picked up a patina of time which for me just adds to the authenticity.
They are substantial and would grace any table or each can be used as table lamps in the bedroom or most other rooms in the house, they could also be used as candle holders again by removing the wiring and bulb holders and be a fabulous centerpiece to any majestic table setting.
Please note they have mains cables but no plugs.and the can of coke is there purely so you can see how large they are.
Dimensions are approx
width of the base 10 cms 4 inch
total height to top of the candle tube 47cms 18.5 inch
Now the bad news each cherub weighs in at just under 2 kgs 4lbs each so shipping is not going to be cheap but I have taken this into account when pricing up these gorgeous Antiques.
I hope you like them as much as I do they will create a real focal point in any room of the house and and a real talking point with your friends, a little history, they were made approx early 1900s and were displayed originally in the entrance of a perfecture, they decided to renovate the building for a more modern look in the 80s and I was lucky to acquire all 4 of them off the brocanteur who bought them with other fittings when they started to strip out the place,I decided to keep the other 2 I have and share the other pair with someone who will enjoy them as much as I do.
Although if there is much interest in this beautiful pair I may let the others go also, I could do with making some room for more treasures.
