A truly beautiful pair of Antique empire French bronze twin arm wall sconces wall lights with dolphins heads and swarovski crystal swags.
the backplates are cast in bronze with large palmettes to the top and bottom with a central dome with green laquer finish and a central rosette, the arms attached span out in the form of textured bodies and morph into large dolphin heads below the drip trays. 3 swags of swarovski crystal around the perimeter with 1 crystal drop to the outer edge of each drip tray,absolutely stunning.
Condition
Although a matching pair 1 sconce is slightly wider than the other by 2cms and the depth of the 2nd sconce from the wall is 2 cms longer than the other, Im not sure why but probably a manufacturing error when made but it makes no real difference to the absolute joy created when hung and lit up in the room of your choice.
for a set of genuine Antique wall sconces the condition is fabulous although they do show signs of age more so on the central laquered backplates the dark green has several scratches on both back plates and the bronze can be seen showing through actually I think it just adds to the authenticity of these beautifull lights but best to mention so no nasty suprises when they arrive.
The wiring has been replaced in the not so distant past with twin core cable, the candle bulb holders E14 screw in style are new and the candle tubes are also new, and ready to use (bulbs not supplied)
