French Antique copper and iron huge cauldron chaudron cooking pot open fire chateau late 1800s
Fabricated in thick copper with iron handles riveted to the sides probably for cooking or heating water over an open fire in a large chateau, manor house, it was originally tin lined which is now mostly worn down but still visible.
Approx late 1800s as I see the way it was put together, with many marks scratches little dents and a larger dent in the side can be seen in the photos+ patination to several places, packed with history a truly used but beautiful item, it has been cleaned a little so would probably clean up much better with some patience and time, made in an era when things needed to last and it has done.
Would look fantastic used in many scenarios displayed in a rustic country kitchen, planter interior or exterior use bird bath the list goes on.
It weighs a massive 5.5 kgs 12lbs so shipping is not cheap so I took this into consideration when pricing this Antique beauty.
