Stylish Antique French white marble onyx and Bronze table lamp office salon library lamp decorated with 4 scenes of Putti cherubs late 1800s Napoleon III style.
Condition is original fabricated late 1800s, The electricity is a later addition so probably would have been a candle holder when first made, but it will need a rewire if you want it to be used as a lamp as the wiring is really very old 2 core cloth style, the original lampshade was battered and torn so better to let you choose your own to match your interior decor, sourced from a very large house attic in the Val-d'Oise region just north of Paris.
Several marks tiny chips around the marble nothing that would ruin the overall appeal of the lamp, but other than that a fine example of Napoleon III styling.
Would also benefit from a clean and polish.
